Job Summary: 

Management Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support delivery of mission-critical services within a federal IT environment. 

This role focuses on cybersecurity performance analysis, reporting, and executive-level communication, providing client leadership with actionable insights into cybersecurity posture and operational effectiveness. The Senior Business Analyst will lead the development and management of key performance indicators (KPIs), deliver standardized reporting, and conduct briefings for client stakeholders. 

The position requires strong analytical capabilities, experience in cybersecurity or IT environments, and the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, strategic insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

KPI Development & Performance Analysis 

  • Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cybersecurity posture and operational effectiveness.  

  • Analyze KPIs such as vulnerability remediation rates, system compliance with security baselines, security tool coverage, and mean time to detect and respond to security incidents.  

  • Evaluate trends, identify gaps, and provide data-driven insights to improve cybersecurity performance and operational effectiveness.  

Reporting & Executive Communication 

  • Develop and deliver regular, standardized security reports (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) to client leadership, as required.  

  • Prepare reports that include executive summaries, progress against planned activities, risk and issue logs, current security posture, and key metrics.  

  • Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable, providing clear insights into the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls and operations. 

Security Briefings & Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Conduct periodic security briefings for client leadership and stakeholders, as directed by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).  

  • Present insights on threat landscape, emerging vulnerabilities, overall security posture, and significant security events or trends.  

  • Translate complex cybersecurity data into clear, concise messaging tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.  

Data Integration & Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with technical teams, cybersecurity personnel, and project controllers to gather, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources.  

  • Ensure consistency and alignment of data used for reporting and analysis across systems and teams.  

  • Support integration of cybersecurity data into centralized reporting tools and dashboards.  

Governance & Continuous Improvement 

  • Support development and refinement of reporting processes, templates, and standards.  

  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and analytical methodologies.  

  • Ensure alignment of reporting and analysis with client strategic objectives. 
     

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, data analytics, cybersecurity analysis, or related roles.  

  • Experience developing, tracking, and reporting on performance metrics or KPIs in IT or cybersecurity environments.  

  • Experience preparing executive-level reports and delivering briefings to senior leadership.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.  

  • Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms).  

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.  

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical and program management staff.  

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting.  

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance. 
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting  federal agencies.  

  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).  

  • Experience supporting IT or cybersecurity operations programs.  

  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment. 

  • Possessing an active Q, L, or Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred. 

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract and/or security clearance requirements. 

Working Conditions: This position is primarily performed in an office environment or a home office setting. Employees will be required to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and operate a computer and standard office equipment.
