Position Summary
The Government Contracts & Compliance Specialist supports the administration and oversight of U.S. Government contracts, subcontracts, pricing activities, and contractor compliance initiatives. Reporting to the Federal Pricing Manager and Senior Contracts Manager, this role spans the full federal contract lifecycle, including proposal support, subcontract management, compliance monitoring, audit readiness, and security-related requirements.
The Specialist also supports Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Energy (DOE) contractor security requirements, facility clearance administration, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities
Contracts, Subcontracts & Proposal Support
  • Administer federal contracts and subcontracts throughout the lifecycle, including pre-award, post-award, modifications, and closeout.
  • Review solicitations, contract documents, and subcontract agreements to identify risks, reporting requirements, compliance obligations, and flow-down provisions.
  • Prepare, review, and administer NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and professional services agreements.
  • Manage subcontract administration activities including change management, deliverable tracking, subcontractor coordination, and records retention.
  • Collaborate with program managers, finance, procurement, and operations to support contract administration, proposals, pricing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist the Federal Pricing Manager with pricing templates, labor category mapping, subcontractor quote coordination, and estimating support.
  • Maintain contract files, subcontract records, tracking logs, and documentation per company and federal requirements.
  • Support GSA Schedule updates, contract reporting, and company registrations as needed.

Security, Compliance & Audit Support
  • Support implementation and maintenance of federal contract compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist with internal compliance reviews, audit readiness, and responses to government audits and customer assessments.
  • Coordinate DOD and DOE contractor security requirements and facility clearance administration.
  • Maintain personnel security, facility clearance, and contractor compliance documentation.
  • Assist with administrative coordination of CMMC compliance activities in collaboration with the managed enclave provider and internal stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain compliance artifacts, policies, procedures, and cybersecurity audit documentation.
  • Coordinate contractor reporting requirements, certifications, and related regulatory compliance activities.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract and/or clearance requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts Management, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in U.S. Government contracts administration, compliance, subcontract management, pricing support, or procurement.
  • Experience supporting DOD and/or DOE contracts in a regulated government contracting environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and DOD/DOE contracting requirements.
  • Experience with subcontract administration and federal contractor compliance activities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DOD or DOE facility clearance administration.
  • Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or related cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting federal proposal pricing or estimating activities.
  • Experience with Unanet or similar government contractor business systems.
  • NCMA certification (CCMA, CFCM, or CPCM).
  • Experience supporting government-approved purchasing or accounting systems.

Work Authorization
U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract and/or security clearance requirements. 


Working Conditions  
This position is primarily performed in an office environment or a home office setting. Employees will be required to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and operate a computer and standard office equipment.
