Job Summary: 
MSLLC is seeking a qualified Project Controls Specialist to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District. 

The Project Controls Specialist will assist the government in tracking and monitoring overall project costs, supporting the project management team with monthly tracking, maintenance, and reporting of project-related data. This work helps the District maintain awareness of project spending and promotes positive performance in alignment with USACE metrics and reporting requirements. 

This position will also perform project controls and analysis services for the Project Management Automated Information System (P2) and related systems, ensuring accurate data integration and reporting. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct project updates in Primavera Project Manager/P6 Web, ensuring data integration with the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) and Resident Management System (RMS). 

  • Add new projects to the PROMIS database and maintain data in accordance with HQ, Division, and District guidance. 

  • Ensure project changes and updates are completed in a timely manner for Project Review Board (PRB), Command Management Review (CMR), Directorate Management Review (DMR), or other USACE-required presentations. 

  • Support the maintenance, validation, and reporting of project data within PROMIS and related systems. 

  • Develop and analyze project cost and schedule data, supporting the project manager in assessing variances, performance, and forecasting. 

  • Monitor progress of project deliverables and expenditures against baselines and forecasts. 

  • Prepare and present reports to communicate cost and schedule status. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, contractual specifications, and government regulations. 

Qualifications: 

  • Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship may be required based on federal contract requirements). 

  • Intermediate to advanced user of Primavera P6. 

  • Competency in both schedule and cost control. 

  • Intermediate understanding of project management principles. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 

  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships and foster a continuous improvement environment. 

  • Government experience and PMP or similar certification preferred. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of project controls experience. 


Working Conditions: This position is primarily performed on-site in Mobile, AL. Employees will be required to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods.
