Position Overview 
Management Solutions, LLC is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the company’s financial operations, strategic financial planning, and financial infrastructure as the organization continues to scale. This role serves as the company’s senior finance leader and strategic advisor to executive leadership on forecasting, cash management, profitability, indirect rates, pricing strategy, financial controls, and long-term financial planning within a federal contracting environment.  

The Director of Finance will partner closely with executive leadership to support organizational growth, operational scalability, and sound financial decision-making. This role is ideal for a strategic yet hands-on finance leader who can operate effectively in a growing, fast-paced government contracting environment.  

The ideal candidate combines strong federal contracting financial expertise with business acumen, operational discipline, and the ability to build scalable financial systems and processes to support the company’s next stage of growth. 

Role Scope and Opportunity 

This is a unique opportunity to help architect the next phase of growth for a scaling federal contractor, with direct influence on enterprise financial strategy, operational planning, and organizational scalability.  

The Director of Finance will focus on strengthening financial visibility, forecasting accuracy, operational financial discipline, and strategic decision support while helping build the financial infrastructure needed to support continued company growth.  

Success in this role requires both strategic financial leadership and strong operational execution within a fast-paced, growth-oriented government contracting environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Financial Leadership  

  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to executive leadership, providing insight and recommendations on company performance, profitability, growth strategy, and financial planning.  

  • Lead enterprise-level financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, scenario modeling, cash flow planning, and margin analysis.  

  • Develop decision-ready analyses related to pricing strategy, indirect cost structure, profitability by business line, and resource allocation.  

  • Support long-term financial planning and strategic investment decisions.  

  • Monitor and manage company cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational stability and growth objectives.  

  • Help strengthen financial visibility, discipline, and scalability across the organization.   

Financial Operations and Compliance  

  • Lead accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational financial management.  

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal financial controls.  

  • Lead the development, management, and monitoring of indirect cost rates and indirect cost pools in compliance with FAR/CAS requirements and company financial objectives.  

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal contracting financial requirements, including FAR/CAS and related regulations.  

  • Support development of scalable financial systems, reporting processes, and operational controls.  

  • Monitor financial performance indicators and proactively identify financial risks or operational concerns.  

Banking and Financial Partnerships  

  • Serve as the primary business interface with banks, lenders, auditors, and financial partners.  

  • Manage relationships related to treasury, credit facilities, cash management, and financing needs.  

  • Support leadership in preparing for financial diligence, audits, lender discussions, and other external financial engagements.  

  • Ensure the company maintains strong financial credibility and readiness with external stakeholders.   

Organizational Partnership and Leadership  

  • Partner closely with executive leadership on operational planning, growth initiatives, and strategic decision-making.  

  • Collaborate with HR, Contracts, Pricing, PMO, and operational leadership to support organizational alignment and business performance.  

  • Develop and mentor finance team members, strengthening financial leadership depth and capability.  

  • Support organizational scalability through disciplined financial planning and operational partnership. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.  

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including leadership within a federal contracting environment.  

  • Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, cash management, and financial operations.  

  • Strong understanding of government contracting financial requirements, including FAR/CAS compliance.  

  • Demonstrated success supporting organizational growth and scaling financial infrastructure.  

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing indirect cost rates and indirect cost pools in compliance with FAR/CAS requirements within a federal government contracting environment.  

  • Experience interfacing with banks, lenders, auditors, and external financial stakeholders.  

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.  

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to leadership.   

Preferred Qualifications  

  • CPA, MBA, or other relevant advanced credential.  

  • Experience helping a company scale through significant revenue growth stages.  

  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, diligence processes, or restructuring initiatives.  

  • Experience within professional services, consulting, or project-based organizations.

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements. 

Working Conditions: This position is primarily performed in an office environment or a home office setting. Employees will be required to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods.
