Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support clients primarily across the Defense and Energy sectors. This entry-level to early-career role is ideal for candidates with 0–3 years of experience who are passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive mission-critical decision-making.
In this position, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and deliver analytical products—including dashboards, reports, and data models—that support operational, strategic, and policy objectives across complex commercial, state, and federal environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Develop dashboards, visualizations, and recurring reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms)
  • Translate business and mission requirements into scalable data models and analytical solutions
  • Support KPI development, performance metric tracking, and operational reporting
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to inform leadership decision‑making
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and governance
  • Prepare executive-level briefings and written analytical summaries
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
  • Support compliance with federal data security and information assurance requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract and clearance requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal agencies (especially DoD or DOE)
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and ETL processes
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis
  • Knowledge of federal performance frameworks or compliance environments
  • Exposure to cloud data environments (Azure, AWS GovCloud, etc.)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity or energy-sector data environments

Work Authorization

Working Conditions
This role may be performed in an office or home‑office environment. Responsibilities may involve extended periods of computer use and participation in virtual or in‑person meetings. Candidates located in the Washington, DC or Huntsville, AL areas are strongly preferred due to client proximity; however, remote candidates may be considered based on qualifications and business needs. Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
