Job Summary:
We are seeking a Director of Delivery who can provide strong project management, strategic, and operational leadership for high-visibility engagements and key client accounts. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful delivery outcomes, driving operational excellence, and fostering a high-performing team culture. In addition, the Director of Delivery will be responsible for helping the firm identify and cultivate new client relationships—taking the lead in building strategic partnerships and contributing to the firm’s overall growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership & Operational Excellence
Provide strategic and operational leadership for some of the firm’s largest contracts and accounts.
Oversee program and project execution, meeting growth and profitability goals while ensuring adherence to best practices, contractual requirements, and organizational standards.
Leverage institutional knowledge to guide project teams and optimize delivery processes.
Serve as a trusted escalation point for complex project challenges and strategic decision-making.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders in federal civilian and defense agencies and beyond.
Ensure high-quality delivery that consistently meets or exceeds client expectations.
Proactively identify opportunities to expand services and enhance value for existing accounts.
Business Development & Growth
Lead efforts to identify and secure new clients, cultivating relationships at the executive level.
Collaborate with the business development function to lead capture and assist on proposals, solution design, and strategic pursuits.
Monitor industry trends and market opportunities to inform growth strategies.
Leadership & Strategic Guidance
Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to project team members.
Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals and client priorities.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Participate in strategic discussions for the future of the firm, providing valuable input into areas of prioritization based on industry trends and market analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, management, operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience managing projects or programs, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing teams and complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and deliver measurable results in high-stakes environments.
Ability to manage clients with excellence.
Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with federal government programs / stakeholders.
Industry-specific expertise aligned with the firm’s service offerings.
